tincan (the "Service") is a web-based voice chat service that connects users instantly via a shared link — no sign-up or app installation required. This page describes what information is collected during use and how it is handled.
We use the following third-party services to operate tincan.
LiveKit
Provides voice chat infrastructure. Your network information is routed through LiveKit servers (located in the US) to establish WebRTC connections. See LiveKit's privacy policy at livekit.io/privacy.
Google AdSense
We display Google AdSense ads to cover operating costs. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads. You can adjust ad personalization at Google Ad Settings. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
The Service uses browser local storage to save your language preference. Google AdSense may independently use cookies for ad delivery. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality.
Nicknames and connection data are deleted immediately when a session ends. Language preferences are retained locally until you clear your browser data. The Service does not store user information in any database.
This Service is intended for users aged 14 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in law or the Service. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
